The Accident that Opened Hearts
A Pioneer from Peru writes:
Early one morning, as we were driving to the city to stock up on food and to take my Peruvian drivers test, we came across a horrific road accident. The injured driver explained that the serious incident had occurred two hours prior, and no one had stopped due to the remote location and lack of cell service. We were the only ones to pull-over (it reminded me of the good Samaritan). Thankfully, the Ambulance arrived thirty minutes later and together we got the critically injured passenger and the driver loaded up. Tragically, the third passenger did not make it.

Through this shocking encounter we connected with a policeman and paramedic who live near to us. The next day the policeman told us that the young man in critical condition would have died 30 minutes later if we hadn’t stopped. Deeply moved, the officer invited our colleague, Pastor Henry, to preach at a Holy Week ceremony. God is at work and this tragic encounter became an opportunity for more connections and open doors into our community.
